Moving into a new home is very exciting, but moving with pets and children can have it’s own challenges. Children may have a difficult time adjusting to the new surroundings, and so can pets. Since pets can’t be reasoned with, there are a couple of things you can do to make the transition easier on them.
Before you move
Once you take possession of the new home, it’s a good idea to bring your pet by to introduce them to the new surroundings. Let them sniff around the home and the rest of the property to help make it more familiar. You can also bring their favorite toy with you and perhaps a familiar kennel or blanket to help illustrate the point.
