How To Avoid Social Media Marketing Burnout

Social media is a great tool and a must have for every real estate agent. But sometimes managing your social media and using it to get leads, connect with clients, and promote your brand can be overwhelming. During the busy summer sales season and whenever you have a lot of things going on it’s easy to burn out on social media. In order to avoid losing all the social media momentum that you have created while you are using social media to market your listings when you feel yourself on the edge of burnout you need to step back and do these things before you burn out completely:

Focus on One or Two Platforms

Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, What’s App… the list of available social media applications is practically endless. Instead of trying to constantly update all of your social media accounts focus on just two or three that really deliver results for you and focus your efforts on those platforms. If you have had a lot of good results using Facebook and Twitter then focus on those and dump SnapChat and Instagram. Or if you have had great success on Instagram and Snapchat then forget about Facebook and Twitter for a while. Whatever social media platforms seem to consistently bring in leads for you are the ones that you should be focusing your attention on.

Turn All Electronics Off Each Day

About an hour before you want to go to bed at night turn your phone, computer, and tablet off. Getting some time completely away from social media each day is the only way to avoid social media drama and ultimately social media burnout. If you shut off all of your devices at least an hour before bed you will be able to relax and spend time with the people that you love instead of worrying about social media and your ranking.

Schedule Posts

All social media platforms have the ability to post at scheduled times. This is a genius application that allows you to schedule posts up to a week in advance. So, if you have some time on a Sunday afternoon or a Thursday night you can sit down and write out a week’s worth of social media posts and ads. Then you can schedule them to run at different times of the day and night. Being able to schedule your posts gives you the flexibility to post when your posts are getting the most exposure without you having to spend your entire day all day every day composing social media posts. You still have to answer tags and interact with fans, but you will be able to reclaim your time each day. And you will save a lot of time by being able to schedule social media posts in blocks instead of having to post each individual post at separate times.
